As a small consultancy, our impact is modest, but our responsibility is not.
Elliott Flemming Ltd is committed to reducing its environmental impact and supporting the UK’s ambition to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
As a small mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy, our operational model is designed to minimise environmental impact. We operate without a permanent office, adopt remote working as standard, and deliver projects through digital-first systems. This approach reduces emissions while supporting efficient and sustainable engineering outcomes across the built environment.
Baseline year: 2025
Estimated emissions: < 1 tCO₂e
Current emissions primarily relate to home working energy use, limited business travel, and digital services. Emissions are estimated at this stage and will be subject to formal monitoring as the business develops.
To limit and manage our carbon footprint, we:
Operate remotely, removing office based and commuting emissions
Favour virtual meetings over travel where practicable
Maintain paperless, digital workflows
Use cloud-based platforms selected with environmental performance in mind
Consider environmental factors when appointing suppliers and partners
Ongoing Commitment
Elliott Flemming Ltd is committed to continual improvement of its environmental performance. As the business grows, we will introduce formal carbon tracking, review opportunities to reduce or offset unavoidable emissions, and update this plan periodically to reflect progress and changing business activities.
This plan reflects our commitment to responsible engineering practice and continual environmental improvement.
